Will I be able to figure it out?
Yes. OwnersLog starts with three short setup screens. The controls are large, the language is plain and there is no complicated account dashboard to learn.
Do I need to download anything?
No. OwnersLog runs in your browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Nothing to install and nothing to update. Prefer paper? The Owner's Dossier is a separate printable PDF.
Where is my property information stored?
The property record and photos stay in browser storage on your device. OwnersLog does not upload them to a server, and we cannot read them. Because of that, make regular backups, especially before changing computers or browsers.
What if I forget my passphrase?
Because the passphrase is never sent to us, we cannot reset it for you. That is what keeps the record private. Restore your most recent record backup on a device where you know the passphrase, or start a new record.
What happens if I cancel?
You can cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee, through the billing portal or by emailing support. Cancel before your next renewal to avoid the next charge. Paid features, updates and support end when the paid period ends. The property record on your device is not deleted.
Is OwnersLog professional property advice?
No. OwnersLog is an informational, organizational and planning tool. It is not an inspection, emergency monitor, property manager or substitute for qualified legal, tax, insurance, financial, engineering or trade advice.
Is the free version really free?
Yes. No card, and no time limit. You get one complete property record with checklists, systems, contacts, photos, work tracking, calculators, CSV export and record backups. Upgrade only if you want unlimited properties, the printable dossier, branding, updates and email help. The printable dossier here means your own filled in OwnersLog record, printed from the app. The paper binder, the Owner's Dossier PDF, is a separate CA$9.99 product and you do not need it to use the app.
